A SHORT STUDY ON PROJEKTZWO WHEELS

91 Vanagon GL (Carat package) with Projektzwo 16 x 7.5" x ET20.
Tires are BFG Comp T/A 225/55/16.

The stock alloy 14 x 6 x ET30 (left) is definately set in an inch or more vs the Projektzwo wheels (right). The wider wheel and offset put it just outside of flush with the front wheel well.
By design the rear wheel has a narrower track the front. As you can see (right) the wider wheels are still tucked under the wheel well about and inch. But, it looks much better than before (left). I have considered wheel spacers but I will need to purchase a modified sliding door hinge. ($$ouch!)
GENERAL INFO:

I have noticed a definite stiffening of the steering but not to bad. Cornering is definetely superior and I still have full steering radius. Take a look at this wheel chart for more information

I purchased these wheels from MGracing on St. Martin Island in April 2000. They took about 6 weeks to get here and included new lugs and nuts. I did not use the new lugs as they where the exact size as the stock lug. I also had to remove two small nuts holding the rear drum in place so wheel could sit flat against drum.

NOTE: The sliding door just barely touches the back of the rear tire.
